This project is designed for creators who want to challenge themselves, explore new ideas, and contribute to a professionally published collection of short comics. Whether you are new to comics or an experienced storyteller, this anthology offers a clear structure, a supportive environment, and a chance to create something memorable.

This year’s theme, Twisted History, invites you to take a real historical moment, figure, or era and reinterpret it through a supernatural, mythical, or eerie lens. The goal is not strict historical accuracy but creative transformation. Your story should begin with something grounded in reality and then push it into the unexpected.

Comic Requirements

Please follow these technical specifications to ensure your comic prints cleanly and consistently:

Page Count: 8–16 pages total, including the cover.
Trim Size: 5.5" x 8.5".
Resolution: 300 DPI or higher.
Color: Color or black & white accepted.
File Format: One combined, print‑ready PDF.
Originality: All work must be original. No AI‑generated art or writing.

Story Requirements

Your story should reflect the anthology’s theme and tone:

Inspired by a real historical moment, figure, or era.
Includes a supernatural, mythical, or horror‑based twist.
Maintains a PG‑13 tone.

Prizes

The anthology includes cash awards for the top submissions. All accepted contributors will also receive copies of the final publication.

Cash prizes up to $100:

1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $80
3rd Place: $70
4th Place: $50

Winners: One signed contributor copy.
All accepted contributors: Digital contributor copy.
